Edit the Learner Welcome Email

When a learner successfully activates their account on your site they receive an automated welcome email.

You can edit some elements of the welcome email to give them a tailored onboarding experience for your site, including the ability to add attachments.

This can be done for each Membership Product (if you have more than one) giving you more flexibility to tailor your messaging for each audience.

Note: Only the Company Admin has access to this feature.


How to edit the Welcome Email

  1. In the Company Admin Dashboard, navigate to 'Settings' -> 'Membership Products'
  2. Then click on the Membership Product you want to edit from the table (alternatively you may be creating a new product)
  3. You will see a section called 'Customise Welcome Email'
    1. The default email text will be displayed but you can edit/replace this text 
    2. You can add links and call to actions in the email
    3. You can also add an attachment to the email (must be a PDF)

Note: In addition to the customised body of text and optional attachment, the welcome email contains automated introductory information containing the learner's username and log in URL, and automated footer text that signs the email from the Company Admin.

When is the Welcome Email triggered

The Welcome Email is automatically triggered after the learner registers and activates their account:

  1. Learner completes the registration form
  2. Learner receives an account activation email
  3. Once the learner activates the account (by clicking the link in the activation email) the welcome email is automatically triggered and the learner is automatically logged into your site.
