Why did my Learner not earn the full amount of CPD?
There may be situations where your Learner completes a learning resource or live lesson but does not get awarded the maximum CPD/time available.
- For reading materials (PDFs, presentations, documents, external links, images): If the Learner marks the resource as complete faster than the maximum CPD/time set by the course publisher, then the CPD/time awarded will be less.
- For Video & Audio Resources: If your Active Learning Tracker is set to 'Strict' or 'Medium' it is not possible to earn less than the maximum time as Learners are required to watch the video or listen to the audio in full and then mark it as complete. If you have turned the Active Learning Tracker off though, Learners can skip forward in the resource which means they can complete it without watching it in full. As a result they'll have earned less CPD/time than the maximum time available.
- Live Lessons (webinars): The platform will track your actual learning time when you are determined to be active and present. If the Learner did not earn the full amount of CPD/time that was published in the course this may be due to several reasons:
- Late arrival to the webinar – if the Learner was not present at the beginning of the webinar this time will not be included
- Early departure from the webinar – if the Learner was not present at the end of the webinar this time will not be included
- The Learner was logged out during the webinar – if the Learner was not present for a period of time during the webinar this time will not be included
- System detecting inactivity – if the system detected the Learner was not active and present for a certain time and they did not respond to the inactivity alert, the system will log them out of the webinar and deduct this time from their CPD/Active Learning time.
You can manually adjust your Learner's CPD time if you think they should be awarded more (or less) CPD/Active Learning time. Please check out How to edit a Learner's CPD Time
