How to force a Learner's Course to Complete

This article covers how the Admin can manually force a learning resource or course to complete on behalf of a Learner.

There may be situations where you need to force a learning resource or course to complete manually for a Learner.

You can do this from the Learner's 'Course Enrolments' page which is access from the 'Learners' table.

Step 1: Navigate to the 'Learners' page which is accessed from the header menu as shown below.

Step 2: Click on the name of the Learner to access their profile page. Then click on 'Course Enrolments' in the left hand menu to access their 'Courses List'.

Step 3: Click the edit icon next to the name of the course you want to force to complete. A modal (as shown below) will open which allows you to force one or more learning resources to complete:

  • Add All: This allows you to force all learning resources in the course to complete. You can choose if the Learner should be awarded full CPD or not.
  • Select one or more resources: You can choose to only force certain learning resources to complete. Again you can decide if full CPD should be awarded or not.

Step 4: Once you have selected the learning resources and confirmed if full CPD should be awarded, click 'Update'.

You'll see a confirmation message and be returned to the Learner Profile Page. The resource(s) will now be marked as complete which you'll see when you expand the course information in the 'Courses List'. Learners will also see this when they log into the platform.

If you forced all learning resources to complete the course will only complete once any questionnaires are completed by the Learner:

  • Course does not contain incomplete questionnaires: The course will be marked as complete if there are no questionnaires OR if any questionnaires have already been completed by the Learner. The Learner will be issued with a certificate which they'll need to log into the platform to access. Alternatively you can send the certificate to them as it's accessible on the Learner's Profile Page in the 'Certificates' section of the page.
  • Course contains one or more incomplete questionnaires: Once the learning resources are complete this will unlock any course questionnaires. The Learner will need to complete the questionnaires in order to complete the course. Or you can manually force the questionnaire to complete following the same process as outlined above.
