Email Notifications Triggered from ClickLMS
In this article you'll find an overview of all the automated email notifications that the Admin, Instructor and Learner will receive.
Admin Email Notifications
There are a number of automated emails that are sent to the Admin's email address to keep them updated on your Learners' activities.
You can choose to disable many of these emails from Settings > Platform Emails
Emails you can disable from the 'Platform Emails' page are underlined below.
These emails are all ClickLMS branded.
Note: We recommend that you set up an automated re-direct to a specific folder if you don't need to review these emails frequently. They will come from ClickLMS Support.
- Learner registers to the platform: You'll be notified each time a Learner registers to your platform.
- Learner enrols to a course: You'll be notified each time a Learner enrols to a course - except if the Learner is auto-enrolled to a course or manually enrolled to a course by the Admin.
- Learner Assignment Submission: If your course contains an assignment, you will be notified each time a Learner submits their assignment.
- Learner completes a course: You'll receive a copy of the Learner's progress and certificate when they complete a course.
- Learner provides feedback: You'll be notified each time a Learner provides feedback upon completing a course.
- Learner's payment fails: If your Learner is charged monthly for their membership and their payment fails, you will be notified by email.
- Learner renews their membership:L When a Learner renews their membership you will be notified.
- Learner's membership renewal activates: When a Learner's membership renewal takes effect you'll be notified.
- Learner's membership expires: If a Learner's membership expires you'll be notified.
- Course published containing a live lesson (webinar): When you publish a course containing a live lesson, you'll receive an email containing the link to host the webinar.
- Live Lesson date or time change: If your course contains a webinar or a Face to Face Lesson and the start date or time is changed, then we will send an email notification confirming these changes.
- Reminder to force a Face to Face Lesson complete: If your course contains a Face to Face Lesson you must force this complete. We will send you an email reminder to do this within 72h hours of the event ending. If you do not force the lesson complete we will do this for you automatically and email you to confirm this action has been taken.
- Course duplication complete: If you duplicate a course we will email you to notify you when this process is completed successfully.
Learner Email Notifications
Learners will also receive automatic email notifications.
You can choose to disable many of these emails from Settings > Platform Emails

- Learner Account Activation Email: When the learner registers to your site, they will receive an email asking them to click on a link to activate their account.
- Welcome Email: This is sent once the Learner successfully registers and activates their membership - you can edit this email from the create/edit Membership Product journey.
- Learner enrols to a course: Each time the Learner enrols to a course they receive an email notification - except if the learner is auto-enrolled to a course or manually enrolled to a course by the Admin.
- Course Assignment Pass/Fail: Learners will be notified by email as to whether they have passed or failed a course assignment. The email will contain any additional feedback provided by the Instructor.
- Learner completes a course: Once the Learner completes a course, they'll receive an email confirmation with a PDF copy of their course certificate.
- Live Lesson is re-scheduled: If the Learner is enrolled to a course containing a webinar or Face to Face Lesson that gets re-scheduled, they'll be notified of the date/time change via email.
- Live Lesson Reminder: 15 minutes before the start of a webinar the Learner will be reminded by email. For a Face to Face Lesson they will be reminded 7 days and 1 day before the event.
- Renewal Notification & Reminder: 21 days and 7 days before a Learner's membership is due to expire they'll be notified about the renewal process (if they haven't already renewed).
- Membership Expiry: If the Learner's membership expires they'll be notified by email. It will explain what steps the Learner can take to renew.
- Membership Renewal & Activation: When a Learner renews their membership and on the renewal date the Learner will be notified by email.
- Membership Termination/Cancellation: If the Learner's membership is terminated/cancelled, they'll be notified by email.
- Failed Payment: If the Learner's monthly payment for their membership fails they will be notified by email.

From which email address are the email notifications sent?
All platform email notifications are sent from support@clicklms.com
Can I use my own email address to send email notifications from my platform?
This feature is currently not available on ClickLMS. If you would like to see this feature, please discuss this with the ClickLMS team.
Can I edit the content of the email notifications sent to my users?
Currently you are only able to edit the email sent to Learners when they register for a membership on your site (the 'New Learner Welcome' email).
This is done at a membership level: 'Settings' > 'Membership Products' > Select membership > 'About'
