How does the Admin change a Learner's Membership Product

How to change the Learner's Membership

If the Learner is registered to a Free Membership product or a One-time Payment Membership product the Admin can change the Learner's membership at any time from within the Admin Dashboard.

  1. Navigate to 'Learners' and click on the Learner's name to access their Profile Page.
  2. In the Membership Details table you will see an edit icon next to the Learner's current product, if you click on this it will open up a modal which allows you to change the expiry date and the membership itself.
  3. Select the membership you want to move the Learner onto. If the membership has expired or you also want to adjust the expiry date to a date further out in the future you will need to adjust this as well before clicking Update.
  4. Click Update - the learner will be automatically moved onto the new membership for free. If you want to charge the member for this change you will need to take payment outside of the platform. Equally if you want to refund the learner for any payment made you will need to do this from Stripe.

How to edit the membership if the Learner is registered to a monthly payment product?

Currently you cannot change the Learner's membership product or expiry date if the Learner is registered to a monthly payment product from the Admin Dashboard.

You will need to do this directly from Stripe:

1. You can reschedule the subscription expiry date in Stripe. This will automatically update the subscription end date in your platform. On the day the membership is due to expire the membership product status will change to 'Expired' or 'Terminated'.

2. You can cancel the subscription in Stripe, which will force the membership to Terminate in your platform, and allow the Learner to renew onto a new product. If you want them to renew free of charge you can give them a 100% discount code which effectively means they can register for free.
