Self-Reflection Activity for GDC platforms

As per GDC guidelines, reflection is an important process for your Learners to evaluate the impact of the course on meeting their professional needs for maintenance and development.

ClickLMS offers an in-built Self-Reflection Activity at the end of every course that allows your Learners to take time to review and reflect on the course so that they can assess what benefits they have gained and how they have implemented their learning.

The text submitted by the Learner in the Self-Reflection Activity will automatically be included on the second page of their CPD course completion certificate and on their PDP Activity Log.

Your Learners also have the flexibility to adjust their self-reflection at any time via their PDP Activity Log or by returning to the course itself.

How do Learners complete the Self-Reflection Activity

At the end of every course on a GDC platform, Learners will now be able to complete a Self-Reflection Activity.

The Self-Reflection Activity will appear after the Modules section of the course (as shown in the example below). It can be completed at any time during the course.

Whilst it is not mandatory to enter any text in the Self-Reflection Activity (the field can be left blank by your Learner), it must be marked as complete before the course will automatically complete and the certificate will be issued. This is done by clicking the 'Mark as Completed' button top right of the activity page as shown below.

Learners can leave the Activity blank to allow them to reflect in the way that suits them best. That may be once they complete the course or they may wish to return and update it at a later date.

Where is the Self-Reflection recorded?

If your Learner has completed the Self-Reflection Activity at the time of completing the course then the text will automatically appear on the second page of their CPD course completion certificate and on their PDP Activity Log.

If they have left it blank then the Self-Reflection section on page two of their CPD course completion certificate and on their PDP Activity Log will be blank.

Can Learners edit their Self-Reflection Activity after the course is complete?

Yes. Learners can update their Self-Reflection for a particular course at any time directly from:

  1. The Course itself, which will be found in their 'Completed Courses' folder.
  2. The PDP Activity Log.

Important: For these changes to be reflected on the CPD course completion certificate, Learners must re-issue the certificate from their 'My Certificates' page.
