Why has my Learner seen an inactivity alert?
If platforms use the 'Strict' or 'Medium' version of the Learning Activity Tracker, then Learner's will be prompted to confirm they are present if inactivity is detected.
If your Learner sees an inactivity alert, the platform is flagging that for a certain period of time it did not detect any activity from the Learner.
If the Learner responds positively to the inactivity alert, the system will continue to log their learning time. If it's a video or audio resource it will continue to play.
If the Learner does not respond to the inactivity alert, the system will determine that they are not present and therefore not actively learning.
- Strict Setting: The Learner may be deducted CPD time, as you can only be awarded CPD time where the system determines that you are active and present. The video/audio resource will be paused and when the Learner resumes they may be returned to their last known active position.
- Medium Setting: The Learner's CPD time will be paused until they resume learning. The video/audio resource will be paused and will need to be manually resumed by the Learner.
