How to duplicate a course

Whilst you cannot currently duplicate a course in one click, the import module feature allows you to speed up this process.

How to duplicate a course

You will need to create a new course and copy and paste across any required text to the ' About Course' page (e.g. course description) and 'Certificate' page (e.g. Aims & Objectives), as well as upload any additional documentation to these pages. You'll also need to set the 'Payment' rules and 'Settings' manually.

However you can import your modules to save you having to create all the modules and learning content again.

1. Go to 'Courses' in the header menu and click 'Create New' to start building a new course. Add the course name and click 'Save' in order to proceed to the 'Modules' page.

Note: You cannot use the exact same course name as the previous version of the course as you cannot have two courses with the same name. So for example you could edit the old course name to be 'Archived: Course Name' and then use your desired name for the new version of the course.

2. Go to 'Modules' - it will open up a new create module page. In the navigation return to 'Back to module overview' to get to the module summary page.

3. Click the 'Import Modules' button top right of the page - you'll be able to search for the existing course and copy across all the modules. It can take a few minutes for the transfer to complete but the module status will say 'Valid' once complete.

Important: If one of your modules contains a live lesson (webinar) you need to manually add a new live lesson with the correct date and time once the module has been imported. The old live lesson/webinar will not be copied across.
